Phethahatso is a non profit organization which was born of a need to create a sustainable impact in the field of rural development. Our presence in the communities brings a socio economic action that innovates new programs, implements and complements all well crafted rural development policies. We bring with us a portfolio of skills and y ears of experience that South Africa and the development world need. Founders of Phethahatso were rural bred and raised. They gained a niche in rural development profession; they remain passionate and committed to the profession to date.
Phethahatso is a comprehensive community development NPO [not for profit organization] which has a strong emphasis on “POVERTY ERADICATION” though its scope of vision and operation transcends poverty eradication. Our final product (an agro entrepreneur) is equipped to take a stage in the world agro trade.
Our entry point is to address the short term interventions such as teaching households to establish food gardens in their backyards but we go ways beyond this stage. We were registered as an NPO in 2009 even though we started operating in 2008. Our registration number is NPO # 068-448. We are also registered as a public benefit organization with a PBO number of 930 036 042.
